Every year, WSU hosts the Kansas Dance Festival (KDF). This festival invites dancers from dance programs throughout the region (and beyond) to join the WSU dancers for a weekend of classes and performances that celebrate the dance community's diversity and excellence. We are excited to be hosting yet another year of the Kansas Dance Festival. This year's festival will be held November 16-17, 2007. This invitational dance festival celebrates the diversity and excellence of our region's many dance programs. Participating schools include: Wichita State University, University of Central Oklahoma, Kansas State University, University of Oklahoma, Friends University, and this year's special guests, the National Taiwan College of Physical Education.
This year's Kansas Dance Festival wiill feature the world premiere of beyond.words, a moving work about autism, created by guest artists Andrew Palermo and Taye Diggs. Another highlight of this year's festival will be the dancers from the National Taiwan College of Physical Education.
